Busy Monday, January 13

Today's 'To-Do' List

  • Groceries - (I worked on the menu yesterday)
  • Various house clean up - (I haven't made myself a list or anything I'm not very motivated today when it comes to the house)
I think that is about it for the 'list' because I don't feel like listing up all the things I need to get done only to feel bad when I don't get them 'all' done because let's face it I don't really have the motivation today for the domestic stuff.

Menu
  • Hamburger Helper w/Green Beans
  • Spaghetti w/Chicken - I did have meat balls down because I have meatballs in the freezer but I think chicken would be better we haven't had it for awhile.
  • Fish sticks w/Fries
  • Royal Round Steak
  • Pizza
  • Chicken quesadillas
This Week's 'To-Do' List
Later this week we have 4-H STEM club and we are suppose to go to the robotics division of the Community College. I really do wish they would make the meetings later though because trying to get both kids picked up and get out to the county where the Extension Service is at really is hard!
Other than that it's just work as normal this week with no big plans.

Last Week

Last week were were suppose to have 4-H Project Club but the schedules got messed up because of the bad weather at the start of the year so that has been move to next week. Other than that not a lot to mention. Truthfully the week flew right by. I think if I remember correctly the kids were out of school for a day or two but it all kind of blends together and this past weekend Peter had to work late Friday night, worked nearly 12 hours on Saturday and then went back into work Sunday. Everything just kind of blended together after awhile. I've been pretty bored and lonely with our schedules being all weird with the weather and him working. I've also been dealing with some depression issues I think a lot of it has to do with the medications I'm on. While I'm better than the first round I'm still not great and I think it's kind of silly to treat something that wasn't bothering a person and the treatment making the person feel worse. I forget when my doctors appointment is but I'm going to have to bring that up to them.
A friend of mine is letting me borrow a book called, "How Doctors Think" and I hope to find sometime I can block off for reading it though I haven't been in a mood to read anything for awhile now. I think that circles back around to my depression issues.
In any case that's this weeks and lasts. Not all too exciting.

Hope everyone has a great week.

Unsure what else I've really got planned this week. It's all very much in the air.

Last Week

Oh goodness what was last week? New Years! Boy between only going to work two days last week and then the kids being off school today my days and weeks are completely messed up!

So New Year's Eve day I took the girls down to the Natural History and Science Museum here in town where they were having a big New Year's party. They were making hats out of old newspaper and party noise makers with beans and paper towel rolls.
I got there early with the girls so the girls got to play with the activity stuff there in the museum. I would have taken the girls no matter what but we actually had free tickets for us to get in so it didn't cost us a thing which is always nice.
They had a DJ and a balloon drop.
Right before the countdown they had the 'Science of Cold' which I took the girls to see last year too and they have always enjoyed it. The person doing the experiments shows what liquid Nitrogen can do. So if we think it's cold right now all we have to do is think about how cold THAT is!

It was a little crazy when the countdown started. I'm not sure how good this video is I took it with my new phone and I haven't quite figured out my phone yet.

After the Museum I took the girls out to Panera bread for the first time. I wanted something different than the normal fast food fair we'd normally get after such an outing. The girls actually really enjoyed it and that made me so very happy!

That was really the highlight of last week. During New Years we went out and set off some fireworks and the girls played Dance Dance in their room as I hooked up the old PS2 to their TV and Peter and I sat around and watched Anime. We counted down and then we all went to bed. We're such crazy folks over here.
