Last Week

Work was horrible last week and I figure it will stay that way. Peter's been having to work from home in the evenings including odd times like 2am and had to go into work this past weekend too. The joys of being salary.

Last week was a bit of a blur because of work being so bad for myself and for Peter. Orchestra was canceled on Thursday so I went to the Quarter Store with a friend and then Peter and I went to the gym.

I've been reading more on the book and enjoying every moment of it! As long as you can get past the profanity it is a wonderful book! I cannot recommend it enough.

Brielle pulled a last minute project on us over the weekend.... yeah that was a lot of fun to deal with... NOT.
I played with my embroidery machine some more and cashed in my Ibotta for the first time since I started it 3 or so years ago and used the money to buy some more patterns.
Oh Peter was checking out the size of my chair to see if it would fit in his desk space for when he was ordering himself a chair and the hydraulic cylinder went and put black stuff all over the carpet that will not come up!
For the most part though a pretty uneventful week as far as I remember. I'd have to scroll through facebook to make sure and truly I just want to get started on the rest of my day and try and take it easy and get a bit of cleaning done. Perhaps catch up on the folding from the leaning tower of clean clothes baskets.

Hope everyone has a great week. And hopefully this weather will make up it's mind because everyone I know out here is getting sick because it keeps changing on us from 60 degrees one day to low 30's the next.

Last Week

Hmm I'm going to have to pull up my calendar and facebook to try and remember. How bad is that I can't remember things from one week to the next.
I will say I made it down to the gym 3 days last week though it was only for 30-60 minutes just whatever I could fit in and work was stressful and looks like it will continue to be stressful. There's a lot of things to get done and there aren't a lot of people and everyone else seems stressed so that doesn't help my stress.

The kids had a dentist appointment. One kiddo was good the other one I want to pull my hair out about but at least no cavities.

The kids went to STEM 4-H where they dipped candles and talked about temperatures and layering.

Friday Peter went to FnM like normal but this time took Katherine again and they had a great turn out for Pokemon. All the kids had fun and the adults said the kids were pretty good so that is great to hear.

Saturday Peter took Katherine to her shoot meet and I went to Stitch N Bitch (SnB). I painted a jar. Why? Because I could and I didn't want to start any bigger project. I spent a part of the day Saturday outside working in the greenhouse. It was in the mid-60's and we had all the windows open it was so warm!

After SnB my friend Allison and I went to a fun painting thing where I drank wine which I think is apparent by my sad looking tree and we painted which is something we had never done before so it was fun.

Saturday night Brielle went to go spend the night at her friend's house and then the next day we all met up for her friend's birthday party at the bowling alley and we bowled (I did horrible!) and played air hockey (I was considerably better at this).

Last week was pretty hectic and I was getting out of work at weird hours so I was slipping in 30 minute workouts (closer to 60 at the gym due to having to change and everything) which was perhaps better than nothing and I shocked my system  little by having very proportioned and healthy meals through the week though the weekend kind of ruined that one for me.

Weather outside is dropping temperature again and I'm antsy for spring but everyone is thinking we are going to get Febuary snow. Seeing how we haven't really gotten any other snow for the year I'm not sure how I feel about that one.

Oh and I'm starting a new book. I'll have to remember to write something on what I think about it.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Last Week

Since I always do my weekly plan and I'm in a mood because my husband was in a mood this morning before he left I'm not even going to deal with it. Let's just say I was busy. I'm alway freaking busy. This week is looking better but who knows.

Katherine at Marksmanship.

A couple embroidery projects I did on my machine.

Brielle at her Junior Year Homecoming.
We went and saw Assassin's Creed at the theater it is part of what Peter's job does every year for all it's employees is rents out the movie theater really freaking early and gives you a list of movies to choose from.

We then went and played the Pre-Release game for Magic the gathering.

Lots of other stuff happened those are the highlights. I'm hoping my day gets better and I hope everyone has a good week.

Last Week

Last week was a bit of a blurr. Thankfully there was no Orchestra class.
Tuesday I had planned to go to the gym but something made me really sick I'm real sure it was my soup so I contacted the company.
Wednesday I went and did some discount shopping not by plan but I went in for french bread for dinner and found a lot of meat on discount. I was still not feeling very great so nope no gym and that was the theme for the week.
Thursday the kids had a snow day and I got off work early but I had to do a lot of running and then when I got home I was extremely unhappy with my children because nothing was done around the house. That night I took the bride to be out for drinks,.

Friday, I picked up rental stuff. I went shoe shopping all over town because the kids lost my white shoes and white is not a color you find at this time of year. Johanna and I worked on wedding stuff until 12am and then I got to bed at 1am to get up at 5am to get ready for the wedding.
Saturday was the wedding and OMG the stories. We were running late. Half the food got left back in town over an hours drive away in other words. Everyone got locked into one of the rooms and the photographer had to shimmy the door open with scissors. The cupcakes arrived not topped yet. The Groom arrived only 20 minutes before the wedding and he had the food that was forgotten. We had to bust our asses to put the community center together for the wedding. Oh the ink security tag got left on my dress! We found out 30 minutes before the wedding so the photographer drove me to the closest town as we had to talk to JC Penney's to get them to approve having the tag taken off. I still need to call them back. It was total craziness.

Sunday I rested I refused to cook or anything. I just rested.
It's been nuts and I'm totally ready for things to calm down a bit.

Last Week

It's actually the last 2 weeks I suppose since I didn't post last Monday. It's all very much a blurr truthfully. I worked through the 22nd and just tried to get everything done including late night baking. Saturday was lots of cooking and we had holiday parties and then we realized after our dinner that we hadn't seen our dog.... That took the next several days. The holidays were somber and we printed out lost dog papers and the kids walked neighborhoods handing them out at every door and we posted flyers on poles and Peter and I drove around 4 times a day searching and following any potential lead. It was extremely stressful and I won't lie I cried a lot. Wednesday though a couple found him and thankfully my cell number is on his tag so they gave us a call. You want to talk about a joyful reunion Peter had to pull me away as I was about to break down crying in tears of relief and joy.

After Blacky came home things got a little back to normal and the family was more upbeat. Mind you most of our vacation was gone at that point but we made it a day and went and got a nice breakfast Thursday and then went and saw Rogue One at the Imax and then grabbed a drive through lunch because we were in the next city over and drove the kids back to meet with friends and directly go into another movie so Peter and I went window shopping and just took it easy. That kind of has been the theme of just taking it easy.

Friday I was feeling pretty under the weather but we did take the kids down to the art museum.

Saturday we didn't know if we were going to have anyone over for New Year's Eve we decided to go back to our old tradition of sticking at the house and playing some Rock Band. It happened folks canceled over at a friends party and then other people stopped in and before you knew it we had a houseful that rotated out of some of our dearest friends through the night.

Some pictures from the last two weeks.
